The days on the river seeing the jaguars, and other wildlife, were simply amazing. Fortunately they compensated for the disappointing accommodation - I expected basic, no problem, but not to be in an unfinished area that looked more like a building site, and certainly not the view or surroundings anticipated.

I had an amazing time on the Journey with Jaguars Safari, which I joined for six days on July 26 and 31. Booking back in March was simple, and Ben and Tatiana were both very helpful from start to finish. The tour was even better than I expected in every way. The accommodation was comfortable, and the lodge owner was always quick to help. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were included and tasted great. The daily boat tours to see jaguars and other wildlife, running from 6:30 am to 5 pm, were fantastic. We saw several jaguars every day, along with caimans, birds, and giant otters. This was the highlight of my trip. I also want to mention our guide, Victor, who was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the animals, friendly, and always did his best to make sure everyone had a great time. The other guests on the tour/boat were great and made the experience even better. If you want a good value-for-money tour to see jaguars, I highly recommend this one. You won’t regret it. This is one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. I give it a 10 out of 10.
